Syrup
Cane Syrup
Cane syrup is a pure sugarcane juice concentrate—deep caramel, buttery, and less bitter than blackstrap molasses. Essential in Caribbean and Southern US cooking and in cocktails that call for rich cane sweetness rather than golden syrup’s invert character. Use in pecan pie variants, glazes, and rum drinks. Demerara and pure cane labels signal origin more than identical flavour.
Also known as: Sirop de Canne, Cane Syrup, Demerara Syrup
