Sirop de Canne

Syrup

Sirop de Canne

S tier

Sirop de canne is the French-Caribbean agricultural cane syrup: green-gold to amber, grassy-sweet, poured in ti' punch with rhum agricole. Martinique and Guadeloupe bottles can be almost sappy. It is juice, not a melted brown-sugar syrup. A spoon with lime and rhum is the drink. In the kitchen it glazes roast pineapple and pork. Do not swap golden syrup and expect the grass.
