Eland

Meat

Eland

Eland is the largest African antelope, producing mild, beef-like lean meat with fine grain and low fat, often considered among the most approachable game meats for new diners. Common and giant eland appear in ranch and wild harvest systems. Steaks and roasts cook similarly to lean beef; dried eland is a traditional biltong option. Farmed eland can be slightly milder than free-ranging animals.
