Paste

Kola paste is ground kola nut prepared for traditional or extract-adjacent uses, not a chocolate-hazelnut breakfast spread. The seed is bitter-astringent then sweetish, valued for caffeine and culture, so the paste carries stimulant character. A good paste is made from sound West African kola with clear identity. A bad paste is anonymous bitter brown mash. Use only where kola is intended; never as peanut butter. Store sealed and cool. Keep away from children as a casual snack.
