Fruit

Whole

Whole loquat is intact fruit for the fruit bowl, market stall, or short holding before prep. This form protects the soft flesh better than cut pieces. Cluster-harvested fruit may still have stems attached. Choose even colour and slight give; rock-hard fruit may not sweeten well off the tree. Whole fruit is the only practical form for multi-day ripening of firm pieces.
