Fruit
Whole
Whole grapefruit is the uncut fruit as shipped and stored—the form with longest shelf life. It is how recipes specify “one grapefruit” before juicing or halving. Keep whole until needed so peel oils and juice stay sealed inside. Store cool; chill for longer holding. Bring toward room temperature before juicing for better yield. Whole fruit also suits gift baskets and display.
