Whole Seed

Whole basil seeds are dry, unsoaked grains used for sowing or for soaking into gel drinks. Intact seeds store longer than pre-soaked; look for clean, uniform seed without chaff. Soak in several volumes of water until coats bloom into translucent gel. Whole dry seeds are not chewed as a spice like mustard.
