Seeds
Açaí seeds are hard, round stones that fill most of each berry. They are not a table snack: after pulping they are waste or biomass, sometimes pressed experimentally for oil or ground for agricultural use. The seed’s size explains why fresh fruit yields so little edible pulp per kilo. Kitchen practice is simply to remove and discard seeds during pulping. Do not treat raw açaí pits as a nut substitute; any food use requires specialised processing and food-grade controls beyond home cookery.
