Green Bean
Green coffee beans are dried seeds not yet roasted—hard, pale, grassy. Roasters buy green lots for custom curves; home users need roasting equipment and ventilation for chaff and smoke. Green stores longer than roasted if cool, dry, and pest-free. Do not brew unroasted for normal coffee. Sort defects before roasting ungraded lots.
