Granular Sorbate
Granular potassium sorbate meters cleanly on plant scales and dissolves with less dust than fine powder in beverage, dairy brine, and filling rooms. Larger particles still reach full solution in warm water with agitation, then deliver anti-yeast and anti-mould activity in acidic foods. Granules should be white, free-flowing, and free of yellowing. Dissolve completely before adding fruit solids that can trap undissolved crystals. Store dry—granules cake when humid.

Minerals
Granular Sorbate of Potassium Sorbate: composition reflects this culinary part relative to the whole ingredient.
History
Granular sorbate reduced dusting in soft-drink and dairy plants.
Granular food-grade sorbate became a default bulk form for industrial dosing.
Low-dust granules remained preferred where powder handling was restricted.
