Vegetable
Black Beauty
S tier
Black Beauty is the classic dark-green, almost black-skinned open-pollinated zucchini of American gardens—prolific bush plants, cylindrical fruit, and the flavour baseline for home sauté and bread recipes. Best at 15–20 cm; “baseball bat” fruits are only for stuffing or shredding. Skin is glossy when prime. Sauté coins, grill halves, shred for baking. Extremely productive—check plants daily. A historic OP still widely seeded.
