Camarosa is a firm, dark-red short-day strawberry bred for shipping and southern winter production—tough enough for long cold chains, flavour decent at full ripeness. A workhorse commercial type of the late 1990s–2000s. Better for retail logistics than pure dessert perfume. Use in mixes and processing when fully coloured.
