Syrup
Pink Rose Cordial
B tier
Pink rose cordial is often a look: pale to candy pink, sometimes real pale roses, often colour and a little rose flavour. Fine for a kids' lemonade and a cake drizzle if it tastes clean. If it smells of soap or only of sugar, skip it. Damask is the serious flower.

History
Pink rose cordials were packed for colour in children's drinks and fairy cakes.
Cafe pink rose syrups coloured lattes more than they perfumed them.
Pink stayed the pretty bottle; damask kept the pastry chefs.
