Damask rose cordial is syrup from Rosa × damascena petals or a strong food-grade hydrosol plus sugar: honeyed, spicy-floral, the sharbat and Turkish-delight drink. It should smell of warm petals, not detergent. Dilute well. A spoon in milk or lemonade. Pink rose cordial may be dye; this leaf is the flower.
