Polka is a Polish primocane red raspberry prized for large berries, bright colour, firmness, and productive autumn crops across European tunnels and open fields. Flavour is sweet with balanced acid—suitable for both fresh punnets and processing when surplus hits. It helped modernise fall raspberry supply in climates that adopted primocane systems after Heritage. Strong for fresh retail, chocolate desserts, and freezing whole on trays. Berries hold shape better than soft heirloom types in short cold chains. Pick frequently in warm spells to avoid overripe crumblers.
