Ghanaian kola refers to kola nuts grown and traded through Ghanaian networks as part of the wider West African kola belt. The product is still Cola seeds for chew and ceremony, with local quality reputations attached to origin. A good Ghanaian kola lot is sound and properly handled in the humid climate. A bad lot suffers mould from poor drying. Not a baking ingredient. Origin naming helps traditional buyers; it does not create a new mild snack category.
