Classic bar grenadine is the 20th-century grocery mix: sugar, colour, sometimes a little fruit, built for a Shirley Temple and a speed rail. It tastes of red candy more than of pomegranate. It will still colour a drink. It will not give you tart fruit. Use real pomegranate grenadine when the fruit matters.
