Apollo is a New Zealand feijoa cultivar with smooth, sweet-aromatic flesh and reliable commercial/home performance—medium-large green fruit that scoop cleanly when soft. Flavour is classic pineapple-myrtle with less harshness than poor seedlings. Often planted with pollinator partners. Pick up windfalls daily in season; refrigerate briefly once ripe. Excellent fresh and in fool-style desserts. Skin can be thinly zested for fragrance if not bitter. A benchmark named feijoa in NZ nursery lists.
