Regina

Fruit

Regina

A tier

Regina is a German late dark cherry selected for large fruit, strong flavour, and exceptional rain-crack resistance relative to older dessert types. Flesh is firm and juicy with a balanced sweet-tart profile that European markets favour; colour deepens to near black at full maturity. Trees need compatible pollinisers and careful pruning to manage size and light. Suited to premium fresh packs in cool climates and to long-distance shipping when harvested at the right colour stage. German and Northern European orchards treat Regina as a flagship late cultivar. Cooking works but wastes the careful breeding for table quality—eat fresh first.
