Jagger is a hard red winter wheat cultivar developed in Kansas and widely grown on the US southern Plains from the 1990s for yield, disease resistance, and solid bread-milling quality. It became one of the most planted HRW varieties of its era and a parent in later breeding. Flour from Jagger-type hard red winter suits pan breads, all-purpose blends, and export HRW cargoes. It is a modern commercial cultivar emblematic of Plains bread wheat improvement.
