Herb
Small Burnet
A tier
Small burnet is a common name emphasising stature versus great burnet—also used in forage agriculture for S. minor pastures. Culinary small burnet is the same cucumber-leaf herb when harvested young from clean growth. Forage-field plants may be tougher or contaminated—prefer garden-grown for salads. Agricultural “small burnet” seed is sometimes not selected for tender salad use; taste before planting large areas for food.
