Poterium sanguisorba is an older botanical name still seen for salad burnet (now usually Sanguisorba minor). Culinary identity is the same cucumber-leaf herb for salads and drinks. Seed packets with Poterium labelling remain valid kitchen burnet. Use young leaflets raw. Taxonomy changes did not create a new flavour plant.
