Fruit
Rovada
S tier
Rovada is a late Dutch red currant with very long strigs of large berries—commercial PYO and fresh market favourite in Europe. Flavour is pleasantly tart; presentation is spectacular hanging jewellery. High yields when pruned and fed well. Late season extends currant sales. Excellent fresh garnish and jelly. Net thoroughly—showy fruit is bird candy. A modern European standard beside older types.
