Fruit
Hicaz
A tier
Hicaz is a leading Turkish commercial pomegranate with dark red rind and arils, high juice yield, and a sweet-tart profile suited to fresh markets and processing. Fruit is large and attractive for export packing from Mediterranean Turkey. Flavour is robust rather than candy-mild. Excellent for juice, nar ekşisi-style reductions, and fresh arils on meze tables. Common in European imports labeled as Turkish pomegranate. Seeds are relatively hard—juice lovers appreciate that.
