Vegetable
Michihili
A tier
Michihili is a tall, cylindrical napa type with upright leaves—more tower than barrel—popular in older US seed catalogues and for wraps and kimchi when a longer leaf is useful. Texture is crisp-ribbed; flavour mild-sweet. Heads are looser than modern dense hybrids sometimes. Use long leaves for rolls; chop for kimchi. A distinctive shape among napa varieties. Garden favourite for vertical heads.
