Hariana cattle from Haryana and adjoining north Indian plains are dual-purpose white-grey zebu long used for bullock power and household milk. Milk is mild and slightly sweet, a classic north Indian desi dairy base for chai, lassi components, and ghee. Hariana milk remains relevant in indigenous and graded herds. It is not Holstein volume, but it suits traditional dairy products well. Development programmes have used Hariana blood in regional dairy improvement.
