Dancy

Fruit

Dancy

A tier

Dancy is a classic American seedy tangerine—deep red-orange, rich flavour, once the holiday tangerine of the US before seedless easy-peelers displaced it. Flesh is juicy and aromatic; seeds are numerous. Peels more tightly than satsumas. Seek specialty growers for nostalgic holiday fruit. Juice is excellent despite seeds. A heritage flavour benchmark for “real tangerine.”
