Nagami
A tier
Nagami is the oval kumquat most common in Western markets—bright orange, sweet peel, pronounced tart pulp, excellent for eating whole and for candying. Shape is oblong; flavour is zippy. Trees are ornamental and productive. Snack whole; slice thin on yogurt and fish; make marmalade. The default kumquat for most recipes. Choose deep orange firm fruit.
