Nelson Sauvin
S tier
Nelson Sauvin is a New Zealand hop named for Sauvignon Blanc-like white-grape, gooseberry, and tropical notes—highly distinctive and polarising in excess. Used thoughtfully it adds vinous lift to pale ales, IPAs, and specialty lagers. Alpha is moderate-high; aroma is unique. Late and dry-hop for white-wine fruit; blend to avoid solitary harshness some perceive. A signature NZ hop for adventurous recipes. Protect from oxidation.
