Ameraucana
A tier
Ameraucana eggs are blue to blue-green from the American tailed, muffed pea-comb breed developed from Araucana-type genetics. They offer reliable blue shells with medium-large size and clean chicken-egg flavour—backyard royalty for rainbow egg baskets. Distinguish from mixed Easter eggers for truer breed eggs. Excellent poached and fried; colour stays in the shell, not the white.
Also known as: Ameraucana egg, American blue egg
