Lanolin-Derived D3
S tier
Lanolin-derived vitamin D3 is the volume commercial cholecalciferol: wool grease from sheep is processed to 7-dehydrocholesterol and irradiated to D3. Most fortified milks, margarines, and supermarket D drops start here. It is not vegan. The oil or beadlet you buy is a dilution of a very potent crystal. Assay and encapsulation matter more than the romance of sheep. A good lanolin D3 is clean, stable in the declared carrier, and does not smell of a shearing shed. Choose lichen D3 when the brief is vegan; choose this when the brief is the world's default.
