Variegated Borage

B tier

Variegated borage shows cream or white splashes on the bristly leaves, bred more for ornamental herb gardens than superior flavour. Cucumber notes remain, but leaves may be slightly less vigorous; flowers are still typically blue stars. Use young variegated leaves sparingly in salads for looks; do not expect a different taste profile. Plants can revert toward green—rogue plain shoots if you care about variegation. Best as a dual-purpose decorative edible rather than a production leaf crop.
