Titania is a Swedish-bred black currant known for mildew resistance, large berries, and vigorous upright growth that appealed to European commercial and garden plantings. Flavour is full and aromatic with the classic resinous currant edge; yields can be heavy when pruned for light. Midseason timing fits cool Nordic and continental summers. Process into jam and juice or sell fresh where black currant culture is strong. Resistance traits reduced spray dependence compared with older susceptibles. Thin congested wood to keep berry size up.
