California Wonder is a classic open-pollinated blocky bell—thick walls, four-lobed shape, reliable green-to-red ripening—that defined American home-garden and market bells for decades. Flavour is standard sweet pepper; structure is ideal for stuffing. Many modern hybrids improve on disease resistance but echo this shape. Stuff with rice or meat, grill halves, or chop for all-purpose cooking. A reference cultivar name more than a luxury flavour brand. Still widely seeded.
