Granular
A tier
Granular aspartame is agglomerated or cut onto a carrier so it flows in a packet or a food-service dispenser without dusting the room. Sweetness is still aspartame's; the grain is convenience. Coffee shops and airline trays lived on this form. It dissolves slower than a fine powder in ice water. The carrier may add a calorie or two per stick. Do not bake a pavlova with it. Same PKU warning, same dislike of prolonged high heat.
