Frozen Yoghurt
Frozen yoghurt is a churned frozen dessert based on yoghurt or yoghurt culture, usually sweeter and softer-frozen than hard ice cream, with a lactic tang that cuts richness. Soft-serve shops and pint tubs dominate; quality depends on real yoghurt content versus flavoured frozen dairy with token culture. Serve slightly softer than ice cream for best scoop. Tangy plain or lightly fruit versions taste more of yoghurt; candy-heavy mixes hide the culture. Not a perfect health substitute for ice cream when sugar is high—read labels. Keep hard-frozen; refreeze soft-serve leftovers promptly.
