Crimson Sweet is a mid-sized oval watermelon with light green rind striped darker, bright red flesh, and high sugar that made it a twentieth-century market and garden staple. Fruit often runs 15–25 pounds—picnic-scale without extreme bulk. Seeds are present; flesh is firm-juicy and classically watermelon-sweet when vine-ripe. Ideal for summer gatherings, fruit salads with feta and mint, and juice. The striped rind is easy to recognise in mixed bins. Check for a creamy underside and hollow thump; pale pink centres mean impatience at harvest.
