Fruit
Meeker
A tier
Meeker is a Pacific Northwest processing raspberry—dark red berries with intense flavour, high yields, and machine-harvest suitability that built Washington and Oregon IQF and juice industries. Fresh texture is softer than modern firm fresh-market types, so Meeker shines cooked, frozen, and blended more than in long-haul clamshells. Colour and aroma in jam are outstanding. Use for coulis, ice cream inclusions, yogurt ribbons, and bakery fillings. Frozen Meeker often equals or beats underripe fresh imports for cooked applications. Expect staining juice and a deep berry character.
