Fruit
Potomac
A tier
Potomac is a large-fruited Peterson pawpaw selection with firm-enough flesh for slightly better handling than the softest melting types and a sweet, pleasant flavour profile. Size impresses at markets; seeds are still significant but flesh yield is high. Named for the river geography of eastern pawpaw country. Useful for growers needing slightly sturdier fruit for short transport to cities. Still not a cross-country shipper—sell regionally. Peak soft fruit makes superb frozen dessert base.
