Vegetable
Spanish Onion
B tier
Spanish onions in retail parlance are large, mild-to-medium yellow-white bulbs—often jumbo—sold for stuffing, rings, and general cooking with less bite than small storage yellows. The name is commercial more than a single cultivar; size and mildness drive the label. Layers are thick and juicy. Hollow for baked stuffed onions, slice for rings, or chop when you want bulk aromatic without aggressive raw heat. Not identical to onions of Spain’s many landraces—check context. Good all-purpose when sweets are out of season.
