Striped Marlin
A tier
Striped marlin (Kajikia audax) is an Indo-Pacific billfish with finer, more highly regarded table flesh than many larger marlins—pinkish, moderately firm, and suited to searing and sashimi-style service when handled to raw-safe standards in regions where that is traditional. It is smaller and often better eating than blue or black marlin. Sear rare to medium-rare like quality tuna, or grill thin steaks quickly. Striped marlin shines with soy, citrus, and sesame. Still consider fishery impacts; prefer well-managed local supply where sale is legal and customary.
