Herb
Maillette
A tier
Maillette is a fine French population or clone type of true lavender (angustifolia) prized in Provence for high-quality sweet oil—lower camphor, elegant floral character used in perfume and careful culinary work. Buds are small and intensely aromatic. Prefer Maillette when a recipe wants refined French lavender rather than harsh hybrid. Use tiny amounts in honey, chocolate, and savoury salt.
