TAM Dew is a Texas A&M–associated honeydew known for adaptation to warm southern production, smooth pale fruit, and sweet green flesh used in commercial US dew programmes. It helped standardise honeydew quality from Texas and similar hot-belt growing areas. Rind stays creamy-white to pale gold at maturity. Strong for supermarket supply chains, food service cubes, and large-batch fruit salads. Full slip and sugar development still require correct harvest timing in heat. Chill before service to maximise crisp juiciness.
