Nuts
Ennis
B tier
Ennis is a large-kernel hazelnut cultivar used in Oregon and other commercial plantings for attractive nuts suited to in-shell and snack markets. Roasted meats taste sweet and aromatic in the classic hazelnut family when the lot is fresh. Larger size makes Ennis appealing for table presentation; freshness still matters more than size alone. Crack clean, roast pale, freeze surplus. Use for snacks, baking, and holiday bowls. Major tree-nut allergen rules apply. Compared with Barcelona, Ennis is another large-nut option in the Pacific Northwest story. Sample before grinding into butter—large stale kernels are still stale. Cool, dark storage protects the oils.
