Yellow Catuai
C tier
Yellow Catuai (Catuai Amarelo) is the yellow-cherry selection of the Mundo Novo × Caturra hybrid released by Brazilian coffee research programmes. It shares the compact architecture and high productivity of red Catuai while ripening to a distinctive yellow fruit that aids harvest decisions and lot identity. Specialty lots of Yellow Catuai are often described as sweet, balanced, and approachable, with caramel, yellow fruit, and mild citrus tones when grown at altitude and carefully processed. Like other Catuai lines it needs strong nutrition and is not inherently rust-resistant, so cup quality depends heavily on farm practice and post-harvest care.
Also known as: Catuai Amarelo, Yellow Catuai, Catuai Amarillo, Yellow Catuai
