Villa Sarchi (also Villa Sarchí or Villalobos) is a compact natural mutation of Bourbon discovered in Costa Rica. Short stature and good cup potential made it attractive for denser plantings while preserving Bourbon-like sweetness, citrus, and clarity at altitude. It is a parent of several disease-resistant hybrids (including some Sarchimor lines when crossed with Timor Hybrid descendants) and remains planted as a pure variety on quality-focused Costa Rican and Central American farms. Pure Villa Sarchi lacks strong rust resistance and benefits from integrated pest management.
