Sarchimor is a Coffea arabica cultivar group from Villa Sarchi crossed with the Timor Hybrid, bred for coffee leaf rust resistance with a more compact plant than many traditional tall varieties. It generally offers a better balance of productivity and cup potential than early Catimor lines, though quality still depends on selection, altitude, and processing. Named Sarchimor selections underpin commercial production in India, Brazil, and Central America and serve as parents of modern F1 hybrids such as Centroamericano. The variety is valued where rust is endemic and farms need durable plants without fully sacrificing specialty-oriented flavour.
