Arusha is a Coffea arabica cultivar associated with northern Tanzania around Mount Meru and the Arusha region, generally regarded as a Typica-related or French Mission–derived line rather than a modern disease-resistant hybrid. It is grown for cup quality—sweetness, medium body, and mild floral or citrus notes—under East African washed processing traditions. Although not primarily selected for coffee leaf rust resistance like Catimor or Castillo, Arusha remains important in Tanzanian and some neighbouring plantings and appears in specialty origin marketing. Disease management relies more on altitude, shade, and agronomy than on Timor Hybrid introgression.
