Greenland Cod
B tier
Greenland cod (Gadus ogac) is a cold-water relative found in Arctic and sub-Arctic North Atlantic waters, smaller and less famous than Atlantic cod but with similar lean white flesh. Availability is regional; when sold it often appears in local Nordic and Canadian markets rather than global commodity packs. Cook simply—pan-fry or bake with butter and herbs. Flake is good but fish run smaller, so watch doneness. Useful as a true cod option when labelled accurately rather than substituted pollock.

Local Greenland fisheries landed ogac for domestic use and limited trade.
