Herb
Aurea
B tier
Aurea is golden bay laurel with yellow-chartreuse new leaves that mature greener—ornamental first, still usable as true bay in the pot. Flavour is genuine Laurus, sometimes perceived as slightly milder. Harvest mature greener leaves for cooking; pale new flush is prettier than strongest. Provide some shelter from scorching midday sun that burns gold tissue. Same whole-leaf stew technique.
